Back onboard
Finally made it back to Istaboa for a couple of weeks. Radar skipped happily down the dock, stopping behind the boats of all his peeps hoping to garner his bits of attention. Life has been quite simple which is what we call entertainment.
All of our marina friends were happy to see us back and we enjoyed a nice Memorial day celebration.
Our friend from Compass Cay, Tucker, is coming over for a few days. We hope to meet up for a nice dinner with him in Vero Beach.
Today we are settling in and enjoying just being.
Back at home, my Mother thoroughly enjoyed her visit with Grandson and his new family. I haven't heard that much happiness in her voice in a long time.
Adios,
Istaboa

Happy Memorial Day
The sad thing is... most people will not see the irony in this cartoon.
But thanks to all those who participated, fought, and died in foreign conflicts to protect our way of life here in America as well as many other places in the world.
Salute.

Sneakin away...
Keeping it quiet until the last minute seems to be the best strategy for our situation. Every time we announce plans ahead of time, something stops us dead in our tracks.
So it seems like a fast break will give us a much needed respite. It's time to go liven up Istaboa for a few days. Unfortunately not the islands yet... but Stuart is not at all bad after the last few obligations we've dealt with.
So, Grandson is coming to visit Grandmother and bringing the new Great Grandson. (My mother is as excited as she can be.) The next weekend... The good son (my brother) is coming in for a visit. So it seems the mother front is all battened down for a couple of weeks. (X'd fingers.)
We are out of here.
Good timing too... We'll be on hand for Memorial day festivities in downtown Stuart and the inauguration of the merge between Capt. Will's Smoky Dog BBQ and Mrs. Peters Smoke Fish. A momentous occasion. This smokin mash-up will produce, for the good people of the Stuart area, the culinary equivalent of Smoked Nirvana. Pig an Fish!!
Excitedly Adios,
Istaboa

Wedding bells in Cancun
Finally, our son Mason, has married his bride Lindsey. It looked like a beautiful and fun wedding in Cancun.
Congratulations to the new Taylors.
It looked like a very fun wedding party.
But something made their tongues stick out?? Must have been the Margaritas.
The lovely bride and who we assume is her father.
Update: We assumed incorrectly... Not Lindsey's father...Sorry. But what's up with the tongue?

This is interesting...
Time lapse video of a Space Shuttle launch from beginning to lift off.
click here for link. Shuttle time lapse
I took the original embed off because it took so long to load. Click the link, If you're a space nerd—it's worth it.
The old shuttle is lookin a bit worn. Of course it does have a few miles on it.

Remember?
When we were kids and we could hang out with Republicans and we could just be friends?
Back before we made more than 40K a year?
Maybe someday... We love elephants.
