Is a video, two actually, by a band from Atlanta... One of the best I've heard in a while.

If you have slow net, sorry... They're worth the bandwidth if you have it.

I Wonder Which House The Fish Will Live In

There is an ad for Hilton/Hampton, but because they're longtime and very loyal customers, please watch.

Meanwhile, as I write this... the storm is moving into River City and putting on quite a show.
Predicted 30˚ drop in a 2 hour span of time.
Should be some bright lights over the river tonight.

All The Way From Memphis... Baby!

and "The" House was rocked in DC.

White House rocks to sounds of Memphis soul

Yes, the President spent some of your tax dollars to bring Memphis' finest to the White House...

And we appreciate it.

Mel taking the helm and Radar smiles... pre Muddy... Sea of Abaco
Correction, ICW—N. Carolina

See that little grey remote in Mel's right hand? That's the Raymarine wireless autopilot controller that we've been told is flaky, unreliable, and downright dangerous for more than 9 years.
Guess we just like livin' on the edge. 9 years and 30K+ miles and we've yet to find a problem... though we did replace a battery.

Still in Memphis, and laying low. Nothing exciting other than catching up with friends.
Denis and April, our friends and neighbors, are heading to Vietnam for holiday. A cruise down the Mekong River sounds like an incredible vacation. They're suffering a little apprehension due to a stopover in Seoul, South Korea.

Still sounds less risky than a Carnival Cruise to me.

Adios,

Happy Weekend!

960 miles later, we're back!
Looking down on the Mississippi River, got our feet up and diggin' our dirt dwelling in the sky.
Big shower, big bed, pups are running up and down the hallway untethered, and the weather is clear and predicted to be in the lower 70s all weekend. and... Crawfish Festival at the Green Beetle this weekend! We haven't sucked Crawdad head or pinched a tail in a year.

After 4 months in South Florida, Memphis seems so real.

We walked to Pearl's Oyster House for a late lunch, I ordered a dozen oysters, Mel tried one, and damn if she didn't find a pearl. How's that for a welcome home?
She immediately went to the Corner Grocery and bought a Power Ball ticket.

There's no place like home.

Here's to another good weekend.

Cheers,
